September 28, 2026 – SciBrunch Therapeutics Co., Ltd. (“SciBrunch”), a portfolio company of LongRiver Investments, and MSD (tradename of Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, N.J., USA) announced that they have entered into an exclusive global license agreement for SPR2015, an investigational preclinical oral KRAS G12D (ON) inhibitor. The transaction has closed.
Under the agreement, SciBrunch has granted MSD exclusive rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize SPR2015 worldwide. SciBrunch will receive an upfront payment of $400 million and is eligible to receive payments associated with the achievement of certain milestones related to development, commercialization and other activities across multiple indications. The total potential aggregate value of the transaction, including the upfront payment, is $2.13 billion.
LongRiver Investments participated in SciBrunch’s angel financing round in 2025 and continued its support through a follow-on investment in the company’s Pre-A round in 2026.
SciBrunch’s agreement with MSD follows other transactions across LongRiver’s biotech portfolio. Ouro Medicines was acquired in June 2026, while Allorion and Sironax have also entered into agreements with multinational pharmaceutical companies.
